✓

You pay nothing for the audit

We come back with the ticket types worth automating first, and roughly how many hours they take each month.

✓

A fixed price, or an honest no

If your helpdesk's built-in automation already covers you, we say so on the call and stop there.

✓

Nothing goes live without your rules

You decide what it may answer, what it may change in Shopify, and what always goes to a person.

On the call: your ticket mix, your current tools, what can safely be automated, and what it would cost to build.

The arithmetic

Work out what repetitive tickets cost you

Drag to your numbers. It's an estimate with the sums shown, not a promise. The audit replaces these guesses with your real ticket export.

Hours back each month

16 h
Order-status tickets480
Time spent on them now32 h
Cost of that time$704 / month
Saved if automated safely$352 / month

Tickets × share × minutes ÷ 60 = hours. Hours × hourly cost = cost. The safe share is your call, and we check it against real tickets on the audit.

Proof, not promises

Proof: a Shopify support agent our team built and tested

You shouldn't hand your customers to a system you haven't seen work. Our engineering team built a two-layer AI support agent for a Shopify-connected brand, plus an operations layer that lets it act in Shopify, the helpdesk and the 3PL. Here's how it handles four kinds of message. The orders below are synthetic.

How the support agent is built A customer message goes to a fast router model. Simple questions are answered directly. Harder ones go to a reasoning model that calls tools: Shopify orders, the 3PL, and the helpdesk. Actions pass a permission check and are written to an audit log. Exceptions go to a person. Customer message email · chat · WhatsApp Router fast model sorts the request Simple answer policy, sizing, hours Reasoning agent larger model, uses tools Shopify orders 3PL / fulfilment Helpdesk Permission check + audit log every action recorded Hand to a person with order + conversation
Two layers: a fast model sorts each message, and a larger model only steps in when it has to look something up or take an action.
CustomerHi, where's my order? #4417
order looked up · carrier checked
SupportIt shipped on Tuesday with UPS and it's out for delivery today. Tracking: 1Z…83. It should be with you by 8pm.
Behind the reply
  1. Router spots an order-status question and the order number.
  2. Agent reads order #4417 in Shopify, then the carrier status.
  3. Answers with the live status. No person needed.
What this proves, and what it doesn't

This is engineering proof: how the system is built and how it behaves. It isn't a claim about time or money saved for a client. We publish numbers like that only once a client has let us measure them. On the audit call, we can walk you through the build itself.

For your tech team: the stack
  • Routing: Claude Haiku classifies each message. Claude Sonnet handles anything that needs reasoning or tool calls.
  • Orchestration: native Anthropic tool calling, no LangChain or third-party agent framework.
  • App: React front end, FastAPI back end, an Intercom-style support widget.
  • Operations layer: permissioned actions in Shopify (cancellations, refunds, metafields), Intercom attribute updates, fulfilment polling from the 3PL, and an audit log in BigQuery.

The demo storefront ran on SQLite with synthetic orders. In a client build, the same layers connect to your live Shopify store and helpdesk.

What it does

What AI customer service automation handles, and what it hands to your team

Most support inboxes are full of the same few questions. The answer already sits in Shopify or with the carrier. Someone just has to go and look it up.

Answered or done automatically

  • Where is my order?Live status and tracking link, pulled from the order and the carrier.
  • When will it arrive? The carrier's current estimate, plus a plain reason if it's late.
  • Can I change my address?Updated in Shopify if the order hasn't been fulfilled yet. Otherwise it explains why not.
  • Can I cancel?Cancelled within the window you set, then confirmed to the customer.
  • How do I return this?Checks eligibility against your policy and sends the return steps.
  • Product and policy questionsSizing, ingredients, shipping times, answered from your own pages.

Handed to a person, with context

  • Damaged, missing or wrong itemsPhotos and order details go to your team in one ticket.
  • Refund disputes and chargebacksNever decided by the agent.
  • Upset or repeat customersFlagged, so a person replies first.
  • Anything it can't verifyIf the data isn't there, it says so and hands over. It doesn't guess.

Your team picks up the ticket with the order, the tracking status and the full conversation already attached. Nobody has to ask the customer twice.

How it works

How the AI agent for Shopify works

It sits between your customers and your helpdesk. Your team keeps working in the tool it already uses.

  1. It reads the message

Email, chat or WhatsApp. It works out what the customer is asking and which order they mean.

  2. It checks the real data

The order in Shopify, the shipment with the carrier or your 3PL, and your policies.

  3. It answers or acts

It replies, or makes a change you've allowed, like an address update before fulfilment. Every change is logged.

  4. It hands over the rest

Exceptions go to your team in the helpdesk, with the order and the conversation attached.

Not another app

More than a Shopify AI chatbot

A chatbot app answers from your FAQ. This answers from the order itself, takes the actions you allow, and knows when to stop.

FAQ

Questions about AI customer service automation

Will customers know they're talking to AI?

It can say it's an assistant, and we recommend it does. Most customers asking where their order is just want the answer quickly, and a correct answer in seconds beats a correct answer tomorrow.

What if it gives a wrong answer?

It only answers from data it can check: the order, the carrier and your policies. When the data is missing or unclear, it hands over instead of guessing. Before launch we test it on your real past tickets, and you see every reply it would have sent.

Does it work with Gorgias, Zendesk or Shopify Inbox?

Yes. You keep your helpdesk. The agent answers inside it, and handed-off tickets land in the same queue your team already works from.

What can it change in Shopify?

Only what you allow. A common starting set is address changes and cancellations before fulfilment. Refunds and anything involving money usually stay with a person. Every change is logged.

How is it priced?

A fixed price for the build and a monthly fee to keep it running and fix it when an API changes. Never per ticket or per resolution. You get the quote after the audit, once we've seen your ticket mix.

How long does it take to go live?

We usually start with a pilot on one channel and one ticket type, often order status. You get a written timeline after the audit, before you commit to anything.

Is this a fit for my store?

It's a fit if a real share of your tickets are order-status, delivery or return questions, and someone on your team spends hours a week answering them. If your volume is low, a good helpdesk setup may be enough, and we'll tell you that.

Hand the repeat questions to an agent. Keep the hard ones for your team.

Book the 30-minute support audit. Bring last month's ticket export if you can. We'll sort it into what can be automated and what can't, and tell you plainly whether it's worth building.
